My nutcracker in it's place.
He fits right in with my other collection. I have an Oilers, The Wizard of Oz group and a couple strangers :)
The stockings are the 3 boys Shepherds Bush stockings. I will probably let them take to their homes when they get married etc but for now they stay nice and safe here. Mine and Bob's is hanging on the other fireplace.
Blackbird Designs ornament front
Stitched this for our annual Sampler Guild of the Rockies ornament exchange. I waited to post after the exchange so no one there would see it. It is from the JCS magazine 2010 ornament issue. Hard to see the whitework on it but I put SGR 2010 and my initials on it also.
Lisa Steele "Aria" from JCS 2000
This is from a Just Cross Stitch issue Oct 2000. I stitched this one also for my oldest daughter. It is stitched on 32 ct cream Belfast linen. There were two options to stitching it. One with the cutwork the other without. Loving hardanger I went for the cutwork design.

Nutcracker by Stitchworks
I just love him. Stitched up quickly. The finishing took me some thinking. The jacket & boots are RG velvet threads and the belt leather. His hair is Rainbow Gallery Santas Beard.

Something Wicked by La D Da
The fabric is darker than this-I used the Havana which is more of a nutmeg colour. Now to get it framed!

Halloween is Creeping
I just loved this. Stitched up quickly, the silks were wonderful , and love the cute little pumpkin charm. The frame and mat are just perfect for it also.

Irish Crocheted Table Runner Magic Crochet #59
This is at each end |
This was one of the hardest things I have crocheted and I have been crocheting over 40 yrs. I made it for a wonderful friend of mine. The original pattern from Magic Crochet magazine was about half the size so I had to use my brain and double the pattern etc. It is so beautiful I hate to part with it. I used a #10 crochet thread by South Maid with a #7 hook. It is 65 in long and 24" wide

My DMC Floss Case
My wonderful husband had this made for me for my birthday. It is mainly made of solid Rosewood .
It is 100 % wood except for the knobs. No screws, nails, etc.,The man that made it hand crafted every inlay and assembled every piece by hand. It is the most magnificent birthday gift I had ever received. It holds all the DMC floss with ease. It has a gold plate that says: "To Patti Love, Bob" under the lid.
