Hand dyed coffee stained linen

Wanted some stained fabric for Halloween projects and the last piece I ordered was $30 for a small cut so I thought..I can do this. So I took some instant coffee and 32 ct cream linen & messed around with it til i came up with this. Will work perfectly for what I want it for.  Don't recommend it for something like a sampler you want to have around hundreds of years from now because i am sure the acid from the coffee will eat thru eventually but for a Halloween ornament or quick picture it will do.

Margaret Cottam correction sheet removed

I noticed the correction sheet Lori from La D Da sent me had more errors than expected. She skipped one stitch on the right, added the symbol for Baked apple on the berries instead of Sheneckly so its best to take your original chart and try to read thru the shaded area between the top and mid sections the best you can. Or change the triangle symbol to the plus sign and add an X on thr far right. This  will make it match the original chart

Diane Williams of Little House Needleworks decided to offer this chart on her web site and kindly ask that you consider making a donation to your charity or maybe World Vision or UNICEF before you begin your download. Both organizations are working hard to provide food and assistance on a large scale to bring an end to the suffering they see daily.

Ort Catcher front

One of  our Sampler Guild Annual retreat projects. I loved doing this. had been a while since I had done any applique type projects. This was fun and quick using wool felt and basic embroidery stitches.
