French Sewing Box

The samplers used for the box was designed by one of the members of our Sampler Guild, Janice Wood. I used a 28Ct Sandstone linen- and NIP silk








The box came from Ikea

What an absolutely wonderful idea. It's beautiful Patti! Your finishing is just perfect. I'll have to refer to your pictures when I finish off a couple boxes. I've been wondering exactly how to do that. Beautiful finish!

Oh Patti, this looks so beautiful! Next time I'll be at IKEA's I'll have to look for boxes. Good idea. The tutorial is very useful, thanks for showing it.

Thanks for your comment on my blog - as far as first socks, there are a lot of great sock yarns out there. I have many favorites, but Trekking XXL, Lorna's Laces and Socks That Rock are a few of them.

As for tips, just find a good pattern and follow the instructions - it may sound a bit strange but it will all work out!
