This beautiful pin and scissor keep by Betsy Morgan of Willing Hands Needlework Designs was our project at the Sampler Guild of the Rockies. Betsy will be coming next month to show us how to assemble it and bring our scissors for the fob. It stitched up quick and was a wonderful project using the silk threads. I can't wait to get it put together in April.

Rocky Mtn Sampler Guild mthly project for March

Rocky Mtn Sampler Guild project
This was our monthly project for Feb. We took a stitched piece and sewed it to fabric and made a tray. This is a Margaret- Margaret design called " A time to Sew" from a past issue of Just Cross stitch Magazine.

My Quilt
I took a little break from stitching to get one of the quilts made I am giving to my daughters for Christmas. I hope to get about 3 made before the holidays but here's hoping. It's a Trip Around The World quilt made with 9 different fabrics. Turned out quite well considering I rushed it.
I also knitted these 3 scarves for my sister and her two girls.

Needlepoint Stockings
These stockings were started by a friends mother and never finished. I took them and finished a little bit of the needlework-naming etc and then sewed them together-she was quite pleased!

Mary Beale Sampler wreath in Progress
Finally took a beak from my Mirabilia Queens to add a few stitches to this. I hope to get it finished this year. I am also working on my Shepherds Bush stocking for myself since I made one for everyone else so I kind of laid this aside.

And They Sinned Framed
Well finally after almost 1 1/2 yrs I finally got this done. The frame matched beautifully. Cindy at Fancimats and my husband had a really good eye to matching the frame to the design. If you are ever in Denver make sure you stop by there. It''s a great little shop with a wonderful choice of stitching supplies.

Christmas Ornaments by Shepherds Bush
I finally found the charms for these so I got them finished. Just a start on my yearly ornaments. These are 4 of the Shepherds Bush from Just Cross Stitch Ornament issues. I will do 8 others from other designers thru the year. My tree is full but I manage to cram more each year. Took time off from stitching today to knit my SIL a scarf to replace the one she lost. Also 2 of my Stepsons are herefor Spring Break so we will be enjoying them for a week.

Sampler Lakeside
Well I finished the lake but wasn't thrilled with my outcome. I suggest that you use the same method as the grass when doing the lake. Diagonally - maybe it would give it a little less blocky look but I wasn't about to rip it out and try to find out. It looks nice tho'. hopefully this weekend I will get most of that part finished.

Well yesterday was a bummer. I had to rip out everything I did the night before because trying to watch TV and stitch...........I started the tiny tree under the wrong leaf so that made everything else offside... well what's another day in a 2 year project eh? Will have to get an updated pic up also.

The Kiss Completed by Mirabilia
One of my favorite designs by Nora Corbett-Mirabilia. I changed her hair to blonde to match mine. This is to represent my husband and I. The beading is incredible. My husband framed it for me and a good job he did!! It was a pleasant break from my sampler stitching.

Sampler Wreath by Mary Beale (in progress)
This has been a sampler I have been wanting for ages. A great friend of mine got it for me and I started it right away. I am working on it simultaneously with "And They Sinned". We moved our furniture around so now I have a huge bare wall in my living room. I guess I will have to start a Mirabilia or something to hang there. It is hard to put down a sampler and work on something else *sigh*
