Last Sept. Kathy Lesieur came to your Sampler Guild meeting and gave a lecture on Pennsylvania Dutch Samplers. I fell in love with the clox design and the colours. The story of  Sarah Boone travels and teachings intrigued me and I knew I just had to have a couple in my collection. This one I got from The Essamplaire The other I got was a Sarah Boone sampler.
 The reproduction designer Margriet Hogue of  The Essamplaire will be coming to our guild in April and I hope I have alot of this completed by then.

This was a sampler taught by Sarah Boone to Elizabeth.

A fun stitch but I had a time sorting the threads that came with the kit. They were special limited threads by GAST and no names were on them. The colours were really close on a few so I just winged it by what I thought looked good.

Pay close attention to the number 8 symbol and the letter B

A wonderful sampler by Paulette Stewart.

Stitched on 32 ct Vintage Examplar. I used the Weeks threads called for. The original had alot of errors and Paulette left them in the design. I left some, some my OCD kicked in.

While hiking in Jasper Alberta, July 2007, I found this lovely piece of art. Being a craft person and art lover I felt sad for the one that lost it and always just adored it for the intricate painting. I recently came upon this sight Summit Stones & Adventure Musings...
